LYRICAL THOUGHT
Sex is an aspect of love however, true love does not use sex as a pawn or toy for its own self gratification. You see, true love is not rude but rather patient and kind. It does not demand its own way, it waits. True love honors and respects the gift of sex. It does not cheapen it for pleasure’s sake. Sex is a beautiful thing but is reserved for marriage. It is a true love offering shared between a husband and wife, a physical expression of intimacy and delight when two become one. With this in mind, save your love offering and keep it untainted, ready for the wedding day. SCRIPTURAL THOUGHT ** It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality... (I Thessalonians 4:3) ** Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body. Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. (I Corinthians 6:18-20) **For the lips of an immoral woman are as sweet as honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil. But in the end she is as bitter as poison, as dangerous as a double-edged sword. Stay away from her! Don’t go near the door of her house! If you do, you will lose your honor… Why be captivated, my son, by an immoral woman… (Proverbs 5:3, 4, 8, 9, 20) **Love is patient and kind. Love is not…rude. It does not demand its own way… (I Corinthians 13:4-5) |
